The Indian equity benchmark erased some of the previous session gains and ended lower in a volatile session on January 30
Selling in heavyweights and capital goods, power and FMCG sectors
Finally, Nifty was down 215.50 points, or 0.99 percent, at 21,522.10
Sensex was down 801.67 points, or 1.11 percent, at 71,139.90
Among sectors, except realty and PSU bank, all indices ended in the red
Capital goods, FMCG, pharma and power down 0.5-1 percent
Midcap index shed 0.5 percent, while the smallcap index ended on a flat note
