The Indian equity benchmarks touched fresh highs on December 19 in a highly volatile session
Nifty was opened 21420 then fell to 21340 again spiked and hit all time high 21500
In last 30 minutes, Nifty was slipped from day’s high 21500 to 21430
Finally, Nifty was up 34.40 points, or 0.16 percent, at 21,453.10
Sensex was up 122.10 points, or 0.17 percent, at 71,437.19
The biggest Nifty gainers were Coal India, Nestle India, Tata Consumer Products, NTPC
While the losers included SBI Life Insurance, Hero MotoCorp, Adani Ports, Wipro
Metal, pharma, oil & gas, power and FMCG rose 0.3-1 percent
Auto, capital goods, realty, information technology were down 0.3-0.8 percent
Smallcap index hit a new high of 42,544.95 before closing with marginal gains
Market regulator Sebi is conducting raids and searches at around 100 premises in Gujarat
