Indian markets rallying for seven consecutive weeks
In the week gone by, Sensex gained 2.37% and ended at 71,483. after hitting a record high of 71,605
Nifty50 gained 2.32% and closed at 21,456, after hitting a new milestone of 21,492.30
Nifty Midcap gained 2.67% while Nifty Smallcap 100 gained 3.35% in the week gone by
All sectoral indices ended in the green
Nifty IT adding 7%, Nifty PSU Bank and Metal indices rising 5% each
Nifty Realty index gaining nearly 4%
FIIs have so far bought Rs 29,700 crore worth of equities in December
DIIs also dominate Rs 3182 bought in the month of December
Adani acquires majority stake in news agency IANS
Billionaire Gautam Adani’s group has acquired a majority stake in news agency IANS India Pvt Ltd
which operates business and financial news digital media platform BQ Prime.
It thereafter in December took nearly 65 per cent stake in broadcaster NDTV
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net bought shares worth Rs 9,239.42 crore
While domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold Rs 3,077.43 crore worth of stocks on December 15
The US Markets ended a choppy session little changed on Friday
Registered a seventh straight week of gains in its longest winning streak since 2017
The Dow Jones industrial average notched a record high close for the third session in a row
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 56.81 points, or 0.15 percent
S&P 500 lost 0.36 points, or 0.01% , to 4,719.19 and the Nasdaq Composite added 52.36 points, or 0.35%
Brent crude futures climbed 69 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $77.24 a barrel
US West Texas Intermediate crude was at $72.08 a barrel, up 65 cents, or 0.9 percent
US 10-year yield hovers around 3.92%

Asian markets open lower

Today Nifty is facing a intraday resistance 21480 and 21520
If stays above 21520 will try to move 21580
