The Indian equity markets snapped a five-day winning streak to end on a negative note on January 16
Nifty was opened 22100 then slipped to 21970 then ended around 22030
Finally, Nifty was down 65.20 points or 0.30 percent at 22,032.30
Sensex was down 199.17 points or 0.27 percent at 73,128.77
Top losers on the Nifty included Divis Laboratories, HCL Technologies, Wipro
while gainers included BPCL, Tata Steel, Titan Company, ITC
Among sectors, metal and oil & gas indices gained nearly 1 percent each
While power, realty, healthcare and Information Technology down 0.5-1.5 percent each
Midcap and Smallcap indices lost 0.3 percent each
GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund held 21,68,71,392 shares or 1.74 per cent stake in ITC at the end of December quarter
Maruti Suzuki to hike prices across models by around 0.45% from today
