As broad-based selling and the mid and smallcap meltdown continued for another day
Nifty was opened 214440 then fell to 21905 then ended 21997
Nifty ended 338.00 points, or 1.51 percent, lower at 21,997.70
Sensex was down 906.07 points, or 1.23 percent, at 72,761.89
The biggest Nifty losers included Adani Enterprises, Coal India, Adani Ports, Power Grid
while gainers were ITC, UltraTech Cement, HCL Technologies, Kotak Mahindra Bank
All sectoral indices, except IT, ended in the red
Realty, media, PSU bank, telecom, power, oil & gas and metals down 4-6 percent
Broader indices underperformed the main indices with BSE Midcap index fell 4 percent
Registering steepest fall since December 2021
Smallcap index plunged 5 percent, a major drag since February 2022
Nearly 200 NSE stocks hit 52-week lows & 400 stocks close at lower circuit

The dollar index , which measures the greenback against a basket of six currencies, was mostly flat at 102.77
Brent futures rose $2.11, or 2.6 percent, to settle at $84.03 a barrel
while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose $2.16, or 2.8 percent, to settle at $79.72
Asian markets were set to mixed opening
Hangseng down 0.25% and Nikkei at flat note
GiftNifty indicates a flat opening for the index
Nifty is facing a intraday resistance 22050 and 22100
If stays above 22100 will try to move 22170-22200
Nifty considering a supports 21940 and 21900
Below 21900 finding a next support around 21830
