The Indian equity benchmarks hit fresh milestones in a volatile session on December 11
Nifty was opened 20980 and travelled around 50 points up and down
Finally, Nifty was up 27.70 points, or 0.13 percent, at 20,997.10
Sensex was up 102.93 points, or 0.15 percent, at 69,928.53
Top gainer on the Nifty were UPL, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Auto, Adani Enterprises
While losers were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Axis Bank, BPCL and M&M
PSU bank, FMCG, capital goods, power, metal and realty were up 0.5-1 percent
While the pharma index down 0.4%
Midcap index rose a percent and the smallcap index added 0.7%
Nifty Bank index also hit its new high of 47,588 before closing flat at 47,314.25
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net bought shares worth Rs 1,261.13 crore
DIIs sold Rs 1,032.92 crore worth of stocks on December 11
TCS buyback acceptance ratio at 35%, better than last time
The company planned to repurchase 4.09 crore shares at Rs 4,150 apiece and received bids for 26 crore shares
The ratio was 24 percent during the 2022 buyback
SpiceJet board meet to consider fundraising and Q2FY24 results adjourned till Dec 12

Brent crude futures for February were flat at $76.03 a barrel
Asian markets were trading higher on Tuesday
Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.66 percent, Taiwan Weighted up 0.4 percent and Kospi up 0.3 percent
