The benchmark indices ended higher for the third consecutive session on September 5
Nifty above 19,550 led by mid-smallcap stocks and buying across the sectors
Nifty was opened 19565 and travelled around 19530 to 19580
Finally, Nifty was up 46.10 points or 0.24 percent at 19,574.90
Sensex was up 152.12 points or 0.23 percent at 65,780.26
Top gainers on the Nifty were Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Sun Pharma, BPCL and Bajaj Auto
while losers included UltraTech Cement, SBI Life, Dr Reddy, Maruti
Among sectors, banks were down marginally
while other sectors ended in the green with healthcare and realty added 1 percent each
midcap index rose 1 percent and smallcap index gained 0.6 percent
The Indian rupee closed weaker on Tuesday as the local unit slipped to the 83 level for the first time in nearly two weeks
The rupee ended at 83.04 against the U.S. dollar, compared with 82.7475 in the previous session

Dow slipped to 0.56%, Nasdaq ended almost flat, S&P500 ended 0.42% down
