Nifty was opened 20800 and travelled 20730 to 20860
Finally, Nifty was up 168.30 points or 0.81 percent at 20,855.10
Sensex was up 431.02 points or 0.63 percent at 69,296.14
Nifty and Sensex touched fresh milestones of 20,864.05 and 69,381.31, intraday
Top gainers on the Nifty were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Power Grid and SBIN
While losers were LTIMindtree, HCL Technologies, Divis Labs, HUL
A mixed trend was seen on the sectoral front with Power index up 6 percent
Oil & gas index up nearly 2 and Bank index up 1 percent
While Information Technology and Realty indices were down 0.5 percent each
Midcap and Smallcap indices ended with marginal gains
Nifty Bank index also added over 1 percent to hit new record high at 47,230.55 intraday
Rupee ends at 83.38/$ against Monday’s close of 83.27/$
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 5,223.51 crore
While domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold Rs 1,399.18 crore worth of stocks on December 5
Wall Street finished mixed on Tuesday after fresh employment data
US job openings fall to lowest level since March 2021 as labor market cools
Dow down 0.22%, Nasdaq up 0.31% and S&P500 ended flat note on Dec 5
US 10-year yield falls below 4.2% and sustains 4.15%
The dollar index was last up 0.12 percent at 103.73, around one-week high
Spot gold was down 0.4 percent at $2,018.29 per ounce
Brent crude oil futures fell 83 cents, or 1.1 percent, to settle at $77.20 a barrel
Bitcoin rises above $44,000 for the first time since April 2022
Asian markets were set to higher opening in early trade
Nikkei up 1.5%, and Hangseng up 0.70%
GiftNifty indicates a positive opening for the index
Nifty is facing a intraday resistance 20880 and 20900
If stays above 20900 will try to move 20950-21000
On other hand, Nifty considering a supports 20820 and 20800
Below 20800 finding a next support around 20740
