Niftyfuture last close: 15403.40 (-1.5%)

On Wednesday, Niftyfuture was seen strong selling pressure and declined 1.5%
NiftyFuture was opened 15550 and fell to 15357 then settled at 15403.40
Sensex was down 709.54 points, or 1.35 percent, at 51,822.53
Nifty was down 225.50 points, or 1.44 percent, at 15,413.30
Nifty metal index was down 4.8 percent
Nifty bank, pharma, information technology and energy indices were down 1-2%
Midcap index fell 1.5 percent and the smallcap index shed 1%
Oil prices tumbled amid a push by US President Joe Biden to cut taxes on fuel to cut costs
Brent crude dropped $2.25 to $109.50 a barrel
FIIs net sold 2920 crore while DIIS net bougth 1859 crore
Suntv, Rblbank and Ibullhsgfin are under F&O ban for June 23
(FED’S POWELL SAID:
WE DON’T THINK WE’LL NEED TO CAUSE A RECESSION
THERE’S REALLY NOT ANYTHING THE FED CAN DO ABOUT OIL PRICES.
IT IS A POSSIBILITY OUR RATE RISES COULD CAUSE A RECESSION.
I THINK YOU WILL SEE INCREASE IN HOUSING PRICES TO SLOW PRETTY SIGNIFICANTLY NOW.
INTEREST-SENSITIVE SPENDING IS AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF HOW OUR TOOLS WORK
