Indian benchmark indices continued their record run for a second consecutive session on June 26
Nifty crossing 23,850 for the first time ever led by banks and heavyweights
Sensex was up 620.73 points or 0.80 percent at 78,674.25
Nifty was up 147.50 points or 0.62 percent at 23,868.80
The Nifty Bank index also hit a fresh record high as it went closer to 53,000
Biggest gainers on the Nifty included Reliance Industries, UltraTech Cement, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank
while losers were Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Auto, M&M, Tata Steel and Hindalco Industries
Among sectors, bank, oil & gas, telecom, media and FMCG were up 0.3-2 percent
while auto, metal and realty fell 0.7-1.5 percent
midcap index was down 0.30 percent while the smallcap index ended on a flat note
FIIs sold equities worth Rs 3,535 crore
Domestic institutional investors bought equities worth Rs 5,103 crore on the same day
Major US stock indexes closed with modest gains on Wednesday after a choppy trading session
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 16.10 points, or 0.04%, to 39,128.26
S&P 500 gained 8.61 points, or 0.16%, to 5,477.91
Nasdaq Composite gained 87.50 points, or 0.49%
Asia-Pacific markets opened lower on Thursday
Japanese yen weakened to a near 38-year low
GiftNifty indicates a negative opening for the index
Nifty is facing a intraday resistance 23900 and 23940
If stays above 23940 will try to move 24000
On other hand, Nifty can be considered as supports 23830 and 23790
Below 23790 finding a next supprot around 23740
