Indian equity indices ended lower for a third straight session on July 23
Nifty was seen highly volatile due to the Budget
Nifty fell almost 400 points during the budget but erased all the loss in second half
Nifty was down 30.20 points or 0.12 percent at 24,479
Sensex was down 73.04 points or 0.09 percent at 80,429.04
Titan Company, Tata Consumer, ITC, NTPC and Adani Ports were among the top gainers on the Nifty
while losers included L&T, ONGC, Hindalco, Shriram Finance and Bajaj Finance
Among sectors, FMCG, healthcare, media and IT indices were up 0.5-2.5 percent
However, bank, capital goods, metal, oil & gas and reality were down 1-2 percent
Midcap index shed 0.7 percent, while the smallcap index ended on a flat note
STT on Options increased from 0.0625% to 0.10%
STT on Futures increased from 0.0125% to 0.02%
The FIIs turned net sellers on July 23 as they sold equities worth Rs 2975 crore
while DIIs bought equities worth Rs 1418 crore on same day
Wall Street’s main indexes ended slightly lower on Tuesday
Tesla slips 8% on lower than estimated Q2 results
IBM, Qualcomm and Ford announce their earnings report today
At 104.5 the U.S. dollar index was close to a two-week high
Crude sustains below $81/bbl
Gold price rise slightly to $2410/oz
The US 10-year Treasury yield was up by 9 basis points to 4.25%
Asian markets were set to lower opening
GiftNifty indicates a negative opening for the index
Nifty is facing a intraday resistance 24520 and 24560
If stays above 24560 will try to move 24650
On flip side, Nifty considering a supports 24420 and 24380
Below 24380 finding a next support around 24300
