Uttar Pradesh (UP) waived registration tax on strong hybrid electric cars immediately
Other top gainers among blue chips included Mahindra & Mahindra, Titan Co Ltd, and ITC
Nifty Auto led sectoral gains, rising 2.2 percent
Followed by Nifty Consumer Durables and Nifty Pharma, up 1.7%
Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Realty each gained 1.1 percent, while Nifty FMCG rose 1 percent
SIP inflows at ?21,260 crore vs ?20,904 crore (MoM)
FIIs extended their buying as they bought equities worth Rs 314 crore on July 9
Domestic institutional investors also bought equities worth Rs 1416 crore on same day
US markets ended mixed on July 9
Dow lost 0.13%, Nasdaq rallied 0.14% and S&P500 ended flat
Fed Chair Powell’s testimony was balanced/neutral, so market didn’t overreact
